When thinking about becoming a teacher, one of my biggest concerns is that i will not be able to come up with an affective discipline strategy. At a ton of schools that i have observed I have noticed that almost every discipline strategy seems to not benefit for at least one child. For example, the strategies are rewarding the ones that do not need as much rewarding, and negativly affecting the ones that need it. I think that this is a very difficult thing to think about when it comes to teaching younger children. I am still trying to research and find an affective behavioral strategy that works for ALL chidren.

This is an essential issue for every teacher...and deserves careful thought and attention. There is no one strategy, technique, or program that works for everyone. But, there are a number of principles that do make a difference (we could talk about them in class) and certainly every teacher must have a clear understanding of what she/he will do when faced with a number of situations.
